Bo'Kaap

The Historical Bo'Kaap also known as the Cape Malay quarters is recognized for being the only original settlement where Apartheid was never able to enforce forced removals making it, one of the richest historical sites in Cape Town. Characterized by it's brightly colored homes and cobble streets, you can buy anything from Indian spices, to traditional Cape Malay food as well as funky African art and craft, and is now a favored destination for film and advertising shoots. It's a must to visit and stay in.
